I'm still accepting vendors for the Juneteenth Pop-Up!

June 19th 2pm-7pm!!

Many don't understand the significance of Juneteenth or even when it actually is! I have so many people ask me when is Juneteenth and it's so disheartening that we know these other people's history and not our own!

On June 19, 1865, 2,000 union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. They announced there were more than 250,000 slaves in the state and were freed by an executive decree ordered by General Gordon Granger, the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation. This day became "Juneteenth"

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the U.S. and celebrated to commemorate the end of slavery!

Gathering together ❤️
Non violent fun
And growing the community socially and economically is the goal for this event!!

When Jaye Carter started Jaye Sent Me, the goal was simple: make it easier to intentionally support Black-owned businesses in our city.

Today, over 300 businesses are listed in the directory - and we're still growing.

Now we're taking the next step.

This month we'll be opening a limited number of Featured Placement slots. Featured businesses will receive prime placement inside the directory, enhanced access to an audience actively shopping Black on purpose and spotlight visibility across Jaye Sent Me social media.

If you're a Memphis Black-owned business owner who wants early access information before we officially open enrollment, join the interest list:
