One of our students had the opportunity to job shadow with Jackie at Grooming by Jackie, and it was such a great experience! He had a lot of fun watching the grooming process and even got hands-on by helping brush a dog and clean out the dog’s ears.

Job shadows are such an important way for students to explore different career paths and discover what they might want to pursue after graduation.

A big thank you to Jackie at Grooming by Jackie for taking the time to host and support our student!

A big thank you to Gary’s Food for taking time out of their busy day to let one of our students job shadow for a few hours! ⭐ He had a great time and really enjoyed learning about the work you do. We truly appreciate businesses like yours that help give students real-world experience.

We are also looking for Menominee businesses interested in hosting students this summer (June–August). Students can help with things like cleaning, food prep, organizing, and indoor or outdoor tasks.

Goodwill Workforce Development will be the employer on paper—your business simply provides the location and tasks.

One of our students is spending the day doing a job shadow and learning what a day in the restaurant world looks like. Opportunities like this give students the chance to observe, ask questions, and start building real workplace skills.

🌭 Job Shadow Day at Yooper Dogs! 🌭

Our Workforce Development students recently had the opportunity to complete a job shadow at Yooper Dogz, where they were able to observe and learn what a typical day looks like in a busy food service environment.

During their time there, students watched the team prepare food, serve customers, and keep the workspace clean and organized. They also observed important tasks like dishwashing, food prep, and customer service. It was a great experience for the students to see how teamwork and communication help keep everything running smoothly during a shift.

The students really enjoyed their time and learned a lot about what it takes to work in the food service industry.

🐾 Job Shadow Day at the Menominee Animal Shelter! 🐾

Today our Workforce Development students had the wonderful opportunity to job shadow at the Menominee Animal Shelter. They learned about the shelter’s morning routine and what it takes each day to care for the animals.

Students helped with tasks like refreshing food and water, cleaning the animal areas, changing litter, and spending some cuddle time with the cats and dogs. The students absolutely loved meeting all the furry friends and learning about the important work the shelter does for animals in our community. 🐶🐱

A huge thank you to the Menominee Animal Shelter for welcoming our students and giving them the chance to learn, observe, and gain valuable hands-on experience. Opportunities like this help students explore career interests while building confidence and workplace skills.

Ryan had a great first day on Thursday at A Place For Coffee! If you’re a local business and want to offer job training opportunities for amazing young men and women in our community, this is what we offer through our Pre-Employment Training Services!!

Please help me in welcoming our newest member of the A Place For Coffee team, Ryan! He comes to us from MOCI program at Menominee High School. We are so lucky to have him here. He works on Tuesdays and Thursdays - come in and say HI!
