Ads are not a quick fix, BUT for businesses that put in the time, it’s a skill that will bring you to those multi six figure years.

Think of it like any other skill or hobby you want to learn. It’s going to take time for you to get good at it, and it is 1000% worth it in the end.

My recommendation for Shopify stores? Start with email list growth ads.
They’re affordable and a great place to start.
Learn how many ads you should run at once, how to read an analyze the information the ads are telling you, all while adding dozens to your email list every week. It’s a win-win and a perfect place to begin 💌

I’ve been running ads for over a decade and one thing I WISH someone would’ve told me before I set live my first campaign (which was a dumpster fire btw….a story for another time 😅🔥) is that the ad strategy that a service-provider uses to get an amazing return is COMPLETELY different than the strategy a Shopify store needs to see profitability in their ads.

I may be biased, but the beautiful thing about a winning ad strategy for product-based businesses is it’s more direct. 
A shorter funnel.
Nurturing is needed like for service-based businesses, but it shows up in a little way. The ad strategy that brought in $12M+ through ads last year for our clients was actually done through just ONE campaign type. No crazy, long-tailed funnels. Just one campaign type….and the addition of email list growth ads, for those clients who wanted them (not required though!!).

So take a lesson from 20-something year old Jenny, who implemented the strategy she saw taught out there by everyyyyone on the internet selling their course, their coaching program, and their services, and wondered why often times it fell short….there is a different strategy for your Shopify clients, you’ll figure it out, and will end up teaching it to hundreds of other business owners 🤍

Many Shopify stores experience seasonality and for many, Q3 can be a slower time. 

One thing you CAN do about it? Prep your runway for Q4 through ads.

How?

Email list growth ads.

Running ads to grow your email list is AFFORDABLE (think ~$1 or less) and it’s a great way to learn the skill of running ads without blowing thousands of dollars figuring it out.

Think hundreds of new people on your list this month without you having to hustle and talk about your email list on social media every day. Over the next couple of months, you have the opportunity to warm these new email subscribers up and get them ready for when your store naturally converts people at a better rate (Q4).

Raise your hand if you’ve ran traffic ads to your Shopify store, gotten a good number of cheap clicks, then….crickets as far as sales go 🥴Here’s what nobody told you: warming up an audience with affordable traffic or video views ads is a strategy that’s made for an entirely different niche than yours.

Those type of ads generate awareness and build trust for service-based businesses, but they aren’t the type of ads bringing in revenue to your Shopify store. Shopify store owners need a completely different ad strategy to generate daily sales. IMO, ads for selling your physical product are even less complicated strategy-wise than the strategy you’ve tried in the past….
Something big is coming for my product-based business owners. Stay tuned ☺️

The two biggest mistakes I see made in ad accounts of Shopify stores 🙈
1) Not having enough creative variety
2) Running traffic ads/boosting posts AND sending to a website that’s not converting traffic well enough
