Way back in 2002, I served as Creative Director and Producer for the book CAROUSELS ABOUND as a fundraiser for Meridian, Mississippi’s Hope Village for Children. The brainchild of Jamie Cater, Cater's Market Meridian, Cater's at The Museum, and Cater's Market Starkville, and her friend, Debbie Martin, the book was a document of the philanthropic public art project to install carousel horses around Meridian, Mississippi. I also created a horse design myself—“Gypsy” is permanently installed on Hwy 39 N in Meridian. Working with philanthropist and actress Sela Ward, I managed the design, production, and marketing of the “coffee table” art book. With all work and publishing donated, the project ultimately raised more than $75,000 for Hope Village for Children. 🐎🐎🐎🌞 -- I understand there are some copies now available at Cater's Market Meridian!
