Had a great time today with my buddy Mike introducing a queen to a queenless hive. Normally we cage her and allow them to get used to her for a few days. They were so accepting we direct released her into the hive. Moments after she came out they were already feeding her and circling her to tend to her.

Bees with full pollen pockets entering the hive. This picture was taken after an inspection where a box was removed slightly moving where the bees were entering the hive. These bees are fanning letting all the other bees where the new entrance is.

Congratulations to Michael Mannino Bee keeper of the year for New Hampshire. Mike has been a mentor to me for the last few years and is everything that people should strive to be. Mike will help anyone he knows and will drop anything he is working on to answer questions and lend equipment when your in a pinch. He is humble and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to keeping bees. I am so privileged to call Mike a mentor but even more as a friend.
