Some of my earliest inspiration as a young designer came from baseball team letterforms and monogram designs. People rep the teams that aren’t even from that city, or even a fan of the team or sport for that matter. As a designer that just shows me how universal the designs are and how well received they are from the masses. It has become larger than just those cities or teams. It has become part of a culture. I wanted to design something with that in mind, that is just as universal but also a representation of my home state, Arizona. So the sAguaro one, the letter A letterform was born.
