i heard something once that i haven’t been able to stop thinking about.
it’s called the airport theory.
and it changed the way i see everything.
here’s how it goes 👇🏼
opportunities have a departure time.
they don’t wait until you feel ready.
they don’t wait until you have it all figured out.
they don’t wait until you’re less scared.
they just leave.
and most people miss them not because they weren’t good enough but because they kept waiting for the perfect moment to board.
i was that girl.
i spent two years watching other women build something from their phones.
saving posts. consuming content. thinking i’ll start soon.
telling myself i needed to know more. do more. be more ready.
meanwhile the plane was boarding.
the moment i stopped waiting and just stepped on
imperfect. scared. figuring it out as i went
everything started to shift.
and here’s what i know now that i wish someone had told me at 25:
you’re allowed to board with fear.
you’re allowed to board with doubt.
you’re allowed to board before you feel ready.
because once you’re in the air, you learn to fly.
the people who build something real aren’t the ones who waited until the timing was perfect.
they’re the ones who boarded on time. 🌿
if something in you keeps saying i’ll start when i’m ready,
this is your boarding call.
