Photos and (oddly enough) screenshots are getting WAY MORE reach than videos on both IG & FB (for our gyms, anyway.)
Long form and very professionally done videos are getting less than 20% reach as the posts with just images.
Image posts made from the phone with me making a silly face are getting more reach than posts made from a desktop.
(When I talk about videos, I’m not counting reels - which get great reach, Chandlerhas something stupid like 3 million views and I have a homie who’s got 20 million+)
NOTE: This is just an observation of me and clients accounts and it’s certainly not …like …an “official statement” about what kinds of posts get the most reach in general.
I think that (generally speaking) different accounts and profiles trigger different stuff in the algorithms and the best way to find out what works best is to try a lot of stuff and …
…wait for it …
Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t! I know, right??
Or just run ads and ignore organic reach all together.
My long form videos that get poor organic reach are CRUSHING as ads and the consumption rate is off the charts.
So … test. And make sure you have accurate stats so you *really* know what’s working
Here is a video me almost dying.
