After 25 unforgettable years running my own boutique public relations agency, I’ve made the decision to close this chapter and dedicate my full energy to one extraordinary organization, United Way Miami, where I will serve as Associate Director of Communications. For 100 years, United Way Miami has served the Miami-Dade community, focusing on education, health, and financial stability. I’m honored to join an organization with such a remarkable legacy.
I launched my business in the months following 9/11, during a time when the world felt uncertain, and rebuilding felt personal. Entrepreneurship gave me purpose, independence, and the opportunity to work alongside a multitude of people and organizations doing meaningful work.
Before taking that leap, I was fortunate to build my foundation with respected institutions, including WPBT (PBS), Walt Disney World, and Doral Golf Resort & Spa. Those early experiences shaped how I approach storytelling, partnerships, and community.
Through Clique PR, I had the privilege of representing an incredibly diverse and inspiring group of clients. They included the Miami International Boat Show, Coconut Grove Arts Festival, Miami International Film Festival, ALTA (the Latin America and Caribbean Air Transport Association), INCAE during the Central American Presidential Summit, where I had the opportunity to see President Barack Obama in person, as well as Night Owl Cookies, Regulator Marine, Loud And Live, and many others.
There were moments I could never have imagined when I first started out. I handled publicity for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and received a personal blessing I will always treasure. I worked with all three Sonesta resorts in South Florida. I saw clients appear on the TODAY Show. I collaborated with my childhood friend Tony Albelo on events that became part of Miami’s cultural fabric. The theater nerd in me was especially thrilled to work alongside Miami New Drama’s Artistic Director Michel Hausmann and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, helping bring powerful theatrical storytelling to wider audiences.
More than the milestones or the headlines, it’s the relationships and friendships that will stay with me for life. Closing Clique PR is not a step away from purpose. It is a step toward a deeper commitment. United Way Miami’s mission to strengthen our community aligns fully with what has always driven me: connecting people, elevating stories, and helping meaningful work reach the audiences it deserves.
To every client, colleague, journalist, collaborator, and friend who trusted me over the past quarter century, thank you. This next chapter is possible because of all we built together. I’m excited for what’s ahead.
