--> Little Haiti & Little River: Where Miami’s Next Art Story Is Taking Shape. Miami’s art map has long been defined by destinations such as Wynwood, the Miami Design District and South Beach, but some of the city’s most compelling creative energy is taking shape beyond those familiar routes. In Little Haiti and Little River, contemporary art is unfolding within a much broader cultural landscape—one shaped by Haitian and Caribbean heritage, independent artists, galleries, studios, photography organizations, music, food, design and community. The result is a neighborhood experience that feels less like a traditional art district and more like a living cultural ecosystem, where contemporary creative practice exists alongside longstanding traditions and local businesses. --> NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale: A Cultural Anchor Shaping South Florida’s Art Landscape. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale has long served as an important cultural anchor in South Florida, bringing research-driven exhibitions, significant collections, and inspiring programs to the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Situated midway between Miami and Palm Beach, the museum occupies an 83,000-square-foot modernist building designed by architect Edward Larrabee Barnes that opened in 1986. Today, its collections encompass contemporary art, Latin American art, photography, the work of American realist William Glackens, and one of the most significant U.S. museum collections associated with the European CoBrA group. The museum is also the permanent home of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Surrounded Islands documentation exhibition, preserving the history of the landmark 1983 public art project created in Miami’s Biscayne Bay. --> 🌍🎨Tsika Dzedu: Zimbabwe National Exhibition & Competition 2026. A wonderful update from Artgal.online in Zimbabwe! We were delighted to share the recent exhibition and competition at the Artgalzim Center in Zimbabwe, and Dennis Ruf has shared this wonderful update following the competition’s conclusion. The competition awarded two First Prizes, two Second Prizes, two Third Prizes and five Special Awards, including an award from the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. We’re especially excited to see this connection between Maphosa and Raphael Chikukwa, Executive Director of The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, as Mr. Chikukwa personally selected the painting pictured here for an upcoming National Gallery exhibition. Next month, the National Gallery will also present an exhibition bringing together African and Indian art, supported by India in Zimbabwe (Embassy of India, Harare). All First, Second and Third Prize winners, together with the Special Award recipients, will also be showcased internationally on Artsy through Artgal.online. It is wonderful to see Zimbabwean artists receiving greater international visibility and opportunities to connect with collectors and institutions beyond their home market. 🇿🇼🎨
