We gave this Black-owned financial education brand a social media facelift! They came to use because they didn't have the capacity or time anymore to post consistently on social media and they didn't know what content should be posted to reach their target audience.

Being 100% committed to your social media goals is admirable, but you need to find a balance between work and fun.

Personally, this has helped me to:

Ever notice how much time you waste online looking for tips and strategies? Searching for an answer, hoping THIS strategy or THAT tip will help you get follower and increase your engagement faster? Then racing to do everything they say?

โŒRecord 5 reels a week
โŒ Respond to every single comment
โŒ Hop on every single trend happening

Please stop! You'll never reach your goals that way.

Choose one metric that you want to increase and focus all your effort on it for at least 1 month. Think about which metric matters most to you (because all of them may not matter). Align it with your goals for your business.

If you want more leads, then increasing your reach may be the metric you focus on. If you want to increase engagement, the comment counts and likes may matter more to you. Figure out what your goals are first then pick ONE metric you want to hone in on.

You need to be all-in long enough to see what's working.

There are many ways to achieve the results you want on social media, but it will never happen if you spread yourself too thin.

Slow your roll! Stay committed to one thing and spend your time mastering it before moving on to the next โ€œthingโ€.
