A client came to us looking to increase leads from their social media channels. They were posting daily to Facebook and Instagram, but they were not seeing a strong, trackable response to those postings.

We helped the client:

1. Make all of the posts trackable in Google Analytics and their CRM.

2. Setup call tracking to track call-in inquires.

Most purchases donโ€™t happen impulsively in the and industries. Instead, buyers take multiple hours, days, or even months in some cases to become aware of all features/benefits; consider, evaluate, and then finally purchase from a company.

Because most purchases wonโ€™t happen the first moment that a consumer learns about a product or service, all ads cannot be judged on whether they immediately led to a purchase or not.

Instead, advertising needs to message to the consumer correctly in the various stages of the buyer journey to help move the consumer down the path to purchase. Those ads should be judged by the appropriate KPIs for the part of the buyer journey they support. Judging by the wrong KPIs can lead to a dysfunctional advertising strategy that results in many lost sales opportunities.
