WEBSITE DESIGN 😱 It is challenging for most businesses. Designing the content is as important as understanding your audience.
Here are some tips from our Creative Director 🙋🏼♀️
🤳🏻Research technology:
and are great to get up and running with a simple site. for e-commerce. continues to be an option for some sites but in our opinion, it’s becoming outdated and expensive to maintain. is our go to for eye-catching sites. For the rest, a fully custom site is always an option, but usually the most time consuming and expensive.
🎯Establish goals and main call to action:
Research your audience and competitors. What is working? What is not? What do customers want to do? How can you help them get there faster? Your call to action should be clear and consistent through the site.
🏗 Create content architecture:
Create a map of your website and a simple outline of the content per page. Think about how the content will link inside your page.
📃 Write short and creative copy.
Effective copy and good imagery can go a long way. Create content around your goals and call to action, not the other way around.
✏️ Create wireframes!
It will help visualize the content and flow. Most of the times we figure out at this stage if content is too long or needs editing.
✅ Have or create a good brand and guidelines.
Follow your brand’s guidelines to ensure cohesive design with other marketing materials.
🌅 Find great images
Having original photography is always best, but you can always find great stock photography.
🎨 Design every page.
No matter how simple a page can be, it is always best to design it before coding it. At Crea7ive we design every single page, popup, slider image and small detail before coding.
💻Implement and test.
Basically code your page or integrate it with the platform you want to use. Then make sure the site is thoroughly tested before taking it live!
