What is TED? It is a nonprofit organization devoted to ideas worth spreading. It started out as a conference in 1984 bringing people together from 3 worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
