Not every equine session is soft smiles and golden fields.

Some are a little more edgy.

Some are a little more thoughtful.

Some tell a story without needing color at all.

Kaley and Gatsby have a connection that's impossible to miss, and black and white felt like the perfect way to showcase it. Stripped of color, the focus shifts to the details, the attitude, and the bond between horse and rider.

I don't do black and white very often, but for this session, it just worked.

Overcast skies at the beach are actually AMAZING for senior photos. Soft light, gorgeous skin tones, less squinting, and such a dreamy vibe. Donโ€™t cancel because of clouds โ€” some of the prettiest galleries happen on those early evenings.
