My name is John Russell, and in 2008, I founded The Business Source LLC with the goal of providing effective, comprehensive sales and marketing solutions for small and medium-size businesses. People thought I was crazy starting a new business in the middle of the Great Recession, but to me it was clear: with a
declining economy, decreased consumer spending, and for many, looming bankruptcy, business owners needed practical, cost-effective ways to increase sales. I knew that with my industry experience and a solid team, we could provide the skills owners needed to survive and thrive. During the crisis, my team and I were committed to helping business owners get through and come out successful – and eight years later, nothing about that has changed. We still fight hard every day for companies that lack the resources, knowledge or personnel to make the changes that will help their business grow – things like a customer development process, modern website or a defined communication strategy.
