Before you pay anyone for a website, ask yourself this: can it actually answer 5 simple questions?
1๏ธโฃ What does this business do?
2๏ธโฃ Who is it for?
3๏ธโฃ Why should I trust them?
4๏ธโฃ How do I contact them?
5๏ธโฃ What should I do next?
If a stranger can't answer these within five seconds of landing on your site, the design isn't done, no matter how polished it looks.
We see it often: beautifully designed websites that are completely passive. Nice fonts, nice imagery, zero direction. Meanwhile, a website "built to perform" turns visitors into inquiries, leads, and paying clients.
A beautiful website that doesn't answer these questions is just a beautiful website. It's decoration, not a business tool.
Function first. Pretty is a bonus.
Save this checklist before your next website project, you'll need it when briefing whoever builds it for you.
