Thank you to my first customer of the day, my loyal friend and fellow maker, tie dye artist/vendor Tiffany! Traffic was slow today (as it has been during the excessive heat). And the heat is predicted to continue into next week.

Even so I have hope that things will pick up. I see that Hardesters, which is just across the street, has plenty of traffic. I also notice in Costco and Hardesters the trend for the Grab & Go meals to be more and more popular. People are opting for the fresher option than typical frozen dinners. And now that I'm at Mona's bakery, I'm finally in prime position to fulfill my wildest dreams ... from back in 2011 when I made the decision to reinvent myself as a health coach/foodie, making and selling comfort foods in a clean, organic, whole foods, traditional way.

I dreamed of a Grab and Go case in which I could stock healthy, fresh, organic and delicious meals, soups, snacks and treats for people to enjoy. It's happening ... though we could use more customers.

They Original crusts are now in stock again in both stores in the pizza freezer. Thank you for buying my breads. I love hearing how you use them to jazz up your meals!

Yesterday standing in line at the cashier in HVL, a man I didn't know yet noticed my bread bag and asked if I was the one who made the bread. He said he had recently bought a baguette, warmed it in the oven and proceeded to make the BEST sandwich he'd ever had in his whole life. "Worth every penny," he added, twice, for emphasis.

Hi friends! Cakes and More in Middletown has discount sourdough breads, baguettes and more from Goddess of the Mountain. Even on the Day Old rack it's still fresh enough to enjoy toasted, or wet it and toss into a hot oven for a few minutes to bring back the magic. Also save big on fresh breads with cosmetic challenges ;)
