Even gasoline for the trip.

Why?

I’m investing in the relationships most important to me.

I ask you this.

What’s the point of being successful if those in our immediate circle are suffering?

It brings me joy and fulfillment to see those around me happy.

And I implore you to do the same.

And if your family are a**holes, you have two options:
1. Find a family who appreciates you or
2. Make a family of your own.

You can have an impact.

How I sold $700 dresses (and convinced the brand to double the price) 👗💰

A client in Thailand had a custom dress go viral. The ads crushed, the factory couldn’t keep up, and the brand wanted to drop the price to $400. I told them to do the opposite — double it. Result? Same conversion rate, more orders, and the brand got repositioned overnight.

The lesson: high demand + high conversion = you’re underpriced.

‘Life ain’t all sunshine and rainbows’ Rocky

At 21 I was married. I finished university and started my first job in the family business.

That business went bust along with many others during the Great Recession in 2009/10.

I was lucky enough to get a corporate job as an IT auditor at one of the big 4.

Marriage was not what I expected. We were both kids when we ‘fell in love’ and had no idea how to love each other.

We had a beautiful baby girl and one on the way and the relationship came to a stalemate.

This was my first real life lesson. And I chose to do life differently

I was headhunted to the largest bank in South Africa nearly doubling my salary. I had 6 pack abs and met many great women. Life was great.

But something more was tugging at my heartstrings. Although I didn’t know it yet. All I knew was corporate was not for me.

I started my first business. I made custom wooden furniture. I used the internet to market and find clients.

I joined a friend in partnership and that business went bust soon after.

Life found my second wife and working with my family again. This time in hardware retail in the middle of rural South Africa.

I was depressed, overweight, underpaid and found out my second wife cheated.

Life’s second lesson.

I vowed to change yet again. But this time I asked. What could I do that’s so scary that I dared not do.

‘Move continents’ my intuition said.

So I bought a one way ticket to Thailand.

I arrived in debt, with 25kgs of clothes and my laptop.

I worked in hostels. I worked in hotels. I worked in coffee shops.

I worked first thing when I woke up. I worked at 3am.

I made some money and registered my business.

My marketing skills got better. I asked to get paid more. Clients were happy.

I solved my money problems.

I made 6 figures. And crossed $1 million in lifetime revenue last year.

The world is a mean and nasty place. But you know what.

We keep moving forward.

This year marks my third business launch and I’m well on my way to being financially free.

Everything works out if we work out throughout.
