I told my team, “you have to practice being in front of the camera so you understand how it feels for clients.”
That experience will be a point of reference for them to relate to and guide clients during content sessions. It demonstrates that we walk alongside them (and that we walk the walk, not just talk the talk).
I’m a big believer in learning by doing. There’s nothing quite like the full body experience it provides — it goes beyond just the intellectual and requires we use our senses too.
TBH I was totally scared of managing people and having a team but it’s been a really wonderful experience so far. I’m learning a lot, and I’m very grateful these silly geese are on the journey with me.
What’s special about these folks is they truly CARE and want to create positive experiences. They know how to laugh and have fun. They are willing to listen and learn. 🩷
Slowly but surely we’re growing together.
