We cannot wait! Especially Weezy!
We’ve been counting down days since October 1, 2024 . . . and the wait is nearly over . . . THE PEDESTRIAN PLAZA RETURNS NEXT WEEK! 😍
From Monday, June 2 through October 1, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking from Ashman Street to Rodd Street to make room for the fifth consecutive year of The Pedestrian Plaza! Additionally, McDonald Street will be closed to through traffic on both sides of Main to accommodate the live music stage.
The Pedestrian Plaza is a vibrant, vehicle-free public gathering space located in the heart of Downtown Midland, featuring:
• Expanded outdoor dining spaces for downtown eateries
• Outdoor games like co****le and ping pong
• Comfy outdoor seating areas with sunbeds and picnic tables
• A full calendar of special events including (but not limited to) Adult Recess, fitness classes, and The Commons Live Music Series

Who’re you excited to see this summer??
Don’t forget, The Pedestrian Plaza is within The Commons Refreshment Zone, a multi-block designated section of the downtown district in which patrons can purchase to-go alcoholic beverages from participating locations and consume them outdoors. Please note you cannot bring outside alcohol in and you cannot bring a Commons beverage purchased from one establishment onto another establishment’s patio or restaurant.
Drop-off areas will be available at The Pedestrian Plaza barricades at Ashman and Rodd streets for unloading/loading guests with mobility challenges or equipment.
