๐งฉ Website Care Tip: More Plugins Aren't Always Better
WordPress plugins can add powerful features to your websiteโbut that doesn't mean you should install one for everything.
Over time, websites can accumulate plugins that are:
โ No longer needed
โ Duplicating another plugin's functionality
โ No longer being maintained
โ Incompatible with other software
โ Adding unnecessary overhead
A better approach is to regularly review what's installed and ask:
โ
Do we still use this plugin?
โ
Is it actively maintained?
โ
Is it up to date?
โ
Does another plugin already handle this function?
โ
Is it causing performance or compatibility problems?
Don't simply deactivate an old plugin and forget about it, either. If you're certain it's no longer needed, properly removing it can reduce unnecessary software on your website.
The goal isn't to have the fewest plugins possible.
It's to have the right pluginsโproperly maintained.
