If you're using a dryer you need to hear this. 👇

Our Custom Dryer Service team is building this new Meyer tower dryer in Gettysburg, South Dakota, and there's some pretty interesting engineering hidden inside that uniform-looking tower.

On a MEYER ENERGY MISER® Tower Dryer, the grain column isn't actually the same width from top to bottom. The upper 22% uses a 10-inch grain column, where the wettest grain first enters the drying process. That narrower column allows more airflow through the grain.

The remainder increases to a 12-inch grain column, allowing greater saturation of the heated air as it passes through the grain.

It's a relatively small change in dimension with a very intentional purpose: the variable-width design improves both fuel efficiency and drying capacity.
