**********************ANNOUNCEMENT**********************
After much consideration and reflection, I want to share some important news regarding Magnolia Rea. This decision was not made lightly; it comes after months of thoughtful deliberation, heartfelt conversations, and looking honestly at where life is leading me. Magnolia Rea has always been more than just a business—it’s been a community, a gathering space, and a dream nurtured by countless shared moments.
We regret to inform you that Magnolia Rea will be closing its storefront after five years of service. I can’t believe that it has been that long since I started my own embroidery/gift store. It has been such an incredible opportunity to serve you and our community.
As we prepare to close our brick-and-mortar location, I feel a mix of sadness and immense gratitude. The store has been a significant part of my life, shared with many wonderful individuals. It provided me with the flexibility to care for my grandchildren during their early years, attend children’s functions for the kids, be off when they were sick, and so much more. While it’s hard to say goodbye, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support throughout this journey. Running the store has been an adventure, full of lessons, laughter, and friendships I’ll always treasure.
Owning and operating a store does come with a host of responsibilities and a lot of time spent behind the scenes just working diligently trying to make ends meet. There have been challenges, and some days were exceptionally trying. In January, I temporarily closed the store to undergo some heart surgery. During that time, I recognized the need to alleviate some stress in my life. As many of you are aware, I began full-time employment in March. Over the past few months, Hannah has managed the store commendably. I could not have done it without her. She has been a true Godsend.
Although the store is closing, the connections we’ve made aren’t going anywhere. I look forward to maintaining contact through future Market Day Events, community gatherings, or even simple phone calls. I remain optimistic about what lies ahead and will carry the spirit of this store—and all of you—with me. I will continue providing embroidery services from my home, and the store’s phone number will remain unchanged. For personal reasons, the Facebook and Instagram pages will be deactivated. Please do not hesitate to contact the store number should you require assistance from Hannah or myself. As I have often stated, “Magnolia Rea will never die!”
In moments of significant change, remember that closing one door can open new opportunities. Be proud of your accomplishments and proceed with hope.
As I conclude this chapter, my heart is filled with gratitude. Thank you sincerely for your kindness, support, and encouragement. Although the storefront is closing, the memories and friendships we have built will endure.
With heartfelt thanks,
Julia R. Crane
