📞💙 Telecommunications Week Appreciation

During Telecommunications Week, Miller County proudly recognizes and thanks our incredible 911 Dispatchers.

These dedicated professionals are the calm voice in the middle of chaos.. answering the call, providing guidance, and ensuring help is on the way when it matters most.

A few of Miller County Georgia Government leadership spent the day at the Georgia State Capitol advocating for our community and discussing opportunities for growth.

Vice Chairman Jeff Cox, Chairman LaDon Calhoun, Commissioner Keith Bowen, County Manager Doug Cofty, Miller County Economic Development Director Sage Laing, and BOC HR/Finance Director Faye Whittaker met with State Representative Gerald Greene, State Senator Freddie Powell Sims, and Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper.

The group discussed economic opportunities for Miller County and ongoing conversations regarding House Bills currently on the floor that could potentially impact our community. We appreciate the continued partnership and support from our state leaders as we work toward a strong future for Miller County. 🤝🏛️
