Maybe folks just don’t understand tipping? Your bartender works hard. Remembering what y’all drink, suggesting drinks, making you experience fun and pleasant. And they are doing that with EVERY customer in the bar. It’s not something that should be taken lightly.
So when you get excellent service, you end up staying longer than planned, and your party of four had an enjoyable day, and your bar tab is over $100, leaving a 4% tip for that bartender is an absolute insult. If you have the nerve to show up at that bar again—you will get a different level of service. Not in a positive way.
Also—if you are there with a friend, who gets so drunk they get shut off, and you leave NO tip because of it, you are just a dick.
