Agency Bel is now Brandworth, a brand strategy and design consultancy helping companies clarify who they are, strengthen market perception, and build business value before growth, transition, sale, or reinvention. I partner with businesses to uncover their unique voice, craft powerful identities, and build meaningful connections with their most valuable customers. Your brand has a story to tell—and I’m here to help you shape it and share it. www.agencybel.com

We launched this week.

"When you are creating something, you will usually find that once things appear 90 percent done, you are actually about halfway there. But you have to create the first 90 percent in order to see the half that needs to be revised."

Last week, while onboarding our new summer intern at , I found myself walking through the incredible range of clients currently inside the agency:

A luxury fashion designer relaunching after years away from the spotlight.
A teen sailing company navigating a marketing transition.
A restaurant reinventing itself after a legal separation forced a total rebrand.
An architect evolving from founder-led studio into a scalable firm.
A nonprofit helping underserved students access innovation and paid internships.
A $300M appliance company rebuilding retailer confidence and consumer connection.
An estate planning attorney trying to make difficult conversations feel more human.

Different industries.
Different scales.
Different deliverables.

But underneath all of it was the SAME challenge:
How does a business position itself clearly enough that the right people immediately understand its value?

Not “making things look pretty.”
Not just logos.
Not social media for the sake of posting.
Positioning.

Because:
• Consumers form first impressions in seconds.
• 77% of B2B buyers say purchasing decisions are increasingly complex.
• Emotionally connected customers buy more and stay longer.
• Consistent branding can increase revenue by 20%+.
• And differentiated companies outperform “me too” competitors over time.

What I’m realizing again and again is this:
Most businesses don’t actually have a marketing problem.
They have a clarity problem.

They struggle to articulate:
• why they matter
• what sets them apart
• who they’re really for
• and what space they want to own

So the deliverables become the manifestation of that clarity:
Naming.
Identity systems.
Messaging.
Websites.
Thought leadership.
Packaging.
Environmental graphics.
Social strategy.
Investor positioning.
Sales narratives.
Internal alignment.
Different outputs.

One central objective:
Helping businesses become easier to understand, easier to trust, and ultimately… more valuable.

I was onboarding our new intern at Brandworth last week and giving her the “grand tour” of what’s currently happening inside the agency.

As I talked through the projects out loud, I had one of those moments where you suddenly realize:
“Wow… these businesses could not be more different.”

Right now we’re working with:
• hospitality brands
• architects
• nonprofits
• consumer product companies
• consultants
• legal firms
• luxury creatives
• retail concepts
• founders in transition
• and companies preparing for their next phase of growth

Some need:
→ a new name
→ a clearer story
→ a stronger identity
→ better positioning
→ social strategy
→ packaging
→ investor-facing messaging
→ website restructuring
→ SEO optimization
→ thought leadership
→ or ongoing fractional CMO support

But almost every engagement starts with the same underlying issue:
The business has evolved…
…but the market’s understanding of them hasn’t.

And that gap becomes expensive.
Expensive in missed opportunities.
Expensive in sales friction.
Expensive in referrals.
Expensive in recruiting.
Expensive in customer confidence.
Expensive in valuation.

According to Forbes, consistent branding can increase revenue by up to 23%.
Harvard Business Review has written extensively about how strategic clarity improves decision-making internally, not just externally.

And Edelman’s Trust Barometer continues to show that buyers increasingly choose companies they understand and trust, not simply the cheapest or loudest option.

That’s why strategy comes first in our process.
Before design.
Before marketing.
Before campaigns.
Because if you don’t know:
• who you are
• what space you own
• why you matter
• and who you’re trying to attract
…everything downstream becomes harder.

The older I get, the more I realize:
great branding is rarely about decoration.
It’s about reducing confusion.
And businesses that reduce confusion tend to grow faster.

For all members, please take a look at your calendars and consider coming to this meeting. It's coming up TUESDAY May 19th, 7-9 am PST, so East Coasters benefit from it not being so "early". Angela Dunz runs a great group!

Happy Friday!
Yesterday I shared my new brand name publicly for the first time with my networking home group, and the response was incredible. So much encouragement, excitement, thoughtful feedback, and congratulations.
A few milestones officially checked off:

✓ URL + social handles secured
✓ Trademark secured
✓ New headshot photoshoot booked for next week

Out with the old. In with the new.

By the end of May, you’ll start seeing an entirely new agency roll out, one built around clarity, strategy, growth, and the kind of brand work that creates real business value.
Excited for what’s ahead. More soon. ✨

When to Call Me
Call me when your client is:
→ Preparing for sale, merger, or acquisition
→ Navigating a leadership transition
→ Expanding into new markets or services
→ Struggling to clearly articulate their value
→ Attracting the wrong type of client
→ Growing, but the brand hasn’t kept up

Clients don’t hire branding firms because they want a new logo.
They hire them because something isn’t working.

// growth has stalled
// the company feels stuck
// the market doesn’t fully “get it”
// or in this case, the client was going through an acute leadership change and needed a new concept - STAT.

Brand is just the tool.
The real job is changing what happens next.

This successful Prudential Center Boston restaurant approached Agency Bel with an emergency that in 4 weeks they could no longer use their
// old name
// their old vibrant social presence
// And not even their recipes!

CUE in the strategy - STAT!

In 6 weeks we created a new, vibrant concept, and everything that comes along with it: a new name, new logo, new colors, a brand new restaurant aesthetic, and all new branding from the brand voice, menus, signage, to social presence and website.

Next time you are at the PRU? You have to try Pizza and Provision's fluffy 72 hr fermented dough Roman Style Pinsa Pizzas. (Now I am hungry!)

I am bursting at the seams!
Yesterday I solidified the new name for my agency rebrand… and bought the URL.
It’s happening, folks. It’s really happening.
Right on time for my 25th anniversary in business.
And honestly? I have a whole new level of empathy for what my clients go through during growth and reinvention. Rebranding is emotional. Confronting. Vulnerable. You question everything.

Which is why I always tell my clients:
if you aren’t feeling at least a little queasy, we probably aren’t pushing far enough.

Growth requires risk. Reinvention requires courage. Don’t play safe.
Stay tuned. GOOOOOD things are coming.
