“We’ve got a shortage of young people in Wisconsin,” Spreitzer said. “We want those out-of-state students to stay here after they graduate. Why shouldn’t we be trying to get them involved in their campus community and to feel like by the time they’ve been here for four years, Wisconsin is their home and Wisconsin is maybe where they would like to make their home.”

A Senate Committee held a hearing on Thursday on a resolution to amend the Wisconsin Constitution to prohibit ranked choice voting.
