We recently visited Fortune with fellow foodie content creators and had a blast. When we saw the words “drive thru” we were definitely skeptical, but trusted our foodie friends knew what they were doing. For AAPI Month we decided to pull up and order off the Chinese menu. They have both a Chinese and American menu and nearly everything was straight fire. 🔥🔥🔥

We ordered:

APPS

* Crab Rangoon
* Potstickers
* BBQ Pork
* Chicken with corn soup

ENTRÉES

* Peanut Chicken
* Beef Stew with Satay in Casserole
* Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Sauce
* Salt & Pepper Fried Squid
* Honey Walnut Shrimp
* Mapo Tofu
* Green Beans Szechuan Style
* Steamed Flounder
* Beef Rice Noodle
* Young Chow Fried Rice

Favorites of the night? Crab Rangoon, salt & pepper squid, pork potstickers, honey walnut shrimp, steamed flounder, and the peanut chicken were all CRAZY good. 🔥🔥🔥

The only dishes that didn’t really hit for us were the beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce, chicken with corn soup, BBQ pork, and the mapo tofu.

Best part? It was super affordable for how much food we ordered. We’ll definitely be back and bringing the family next time.

Shoutout to the foodie crew: .Waukee and 🙌

We recently visited for Mother’s Day and we’ve always enjoyed them at the Milwaukee Public Market, but we figured we’d drive to the burbs for more of a dine-in experience instead of the food hall vibe.

Even though we had a reservation, we still ended up waiting a good while after checking in. Once we finally got seated, the service was super lackluster. Idk if dude just didn’t wanna be there or what, but he basically dropped the stacked menus and utensils on the table and left us to pass everything around ourselves. Not the end of the world, but definitely not the energy you expect on Mother’s Day.

Apparently they had a Mother’s Day special too… but we would’ve never known. No mention of it from our waiter, no printout, nothing.

For drinks, we ordered a rum punch, frozen strawberry lemonade, and asked if the bar could make a Bahama Mama. The strawberry lemonade easily carried because the other two were buns.

We started with the lobster bisque and New England clam chowder. Neither really had much flavor and we barely tasted any actual seafood in them. Then we tried the oysters Rockefeller and yeah… they were ass too.

Next up was their famous New England lobster roll and maybe lobster rolls just aren’t for me, but this tasted like absolutely nothing. The fries were hella unseasoned too. At this point I’m damn near ready to take a Covid test cause huh???

We also got the walleye and cod fish fry dinners. The coleslaw was buns as well, so we swapped it for corn and that was way better.

Dessert definitely saved the ending a little though. We got the key lime ice cream and Door County cherry ice cream. Both came with a little fish-shaped ginger cookie on top and those were really good. The Door County cherry ice cream was fire — super thick but fire.

I’m sure we’ll probably be back at some point, but next time we might just stick to the Milwaukee Public Market location because this visit was disappointing.

We were driving past .place.cafe on Sunday and saw their parking lot completely packed, so we had to see what the hype was about. Surprisingly, we still found a parking spot pretty quick, put our name on the list, and only waited about 10 minutes to get seated. The waiting area was full, the dining room was packed, but their service was moving FAST.

While waiting, we looked online to see what everyone recommends and what we should expect. One thing people kept hyping up was the fresh squeezed orange juice, so of course we had to try it. It was definitely fresh squeezed, but honestly… nothing crazy in our opinion.

For food, we ordered the California Skillet which came with bacon, tomatoes, onions, cremini mushrooms, spinach, Swiss cheese, hollandaise sauce, and fresh avocado. Our DMs also told us we HAD to try the Cinnamon French Toast — four slices dusted with powdered sugar and served with syrup and butter.

We can’t lie, the prices did feel a little expensive, but the fast and friendly service definitely helped make up for it. The California skillet was solid, but you already know we had to season the eggs and throw some hot sauce on there. We love avocado, but honestly it didn’t really add much to the skillet for us.

The cinnamon French toast was decent too, but those bites only really HIT when you had the perfect amount of syrup on there. Like… at that point are we praising the toast or just the syrup carrying the team? 😂

Overall, we’d definitely come back. This place was packed with people from all different backgrounds, so they’re clearly doing something right. We’re pretty sure we missed the real star of the menu, so let us know what we need to order next time.

P.S. For hot sauce they had Louisiana, Cholula, and Frank’s Red Hot. We’re impressed lol

We pulled up to .lounge and had a time okay.! Great music, great service, the best Dubai chocolate, and easily the best ho**ah we’ve ever had.

We started with a strawberry mango smoothie and a pineapple smoothie. Both had great flavor, but they were a little hard to drink — probably just needed to be blended a bit longer or softened up more.

For the ho**ah, we ordered the pineapple head with the Owner’s Mix and the grapefruit head with the Arabian Nights blend. When Rashid told us this would be the best ho**ah we’ve ever had, he definitely wasn’t cappin. Smooth pull, flavorful, and easily the best ho**ah we’ve had. We liked the Arabian nights with the grapefruit head BUT THIS OWNER’s MIX with the pineapple head was 🔥. No headache after either.

And the Dubai chocolate? Crazy good. Easily the best Dubai chocolate we’ve tried so far. Between the smooth ho**ah, laid-back vibe, and top-tier service, this spot really delivered. We’ll definitely be back.

After seeing them go viral forever, we finally pulled up to 🍗😂

The place was packed with plenty of people dining in, and somehow customers were asking US what to order like this wasn’t our first time too 😭 But when you see your people in there heavy… you already know it’s probably gonna hit.

We ordered:
🔥 2-piece spicy chicken
🍝 Famous spaghetti
🥧 Peach mango pie
🍍 Pineapple quencher

And yes… the chicken combo came with a biscuit AND gravy 👀

First things first — this chicken is definitely GOOD. Crispy, juicy, flavorful. The gravy is just regular brown gravy, not super seasoned or anything crazy, but honestly… does it really need to be if the chicken already slaps? 🤷‍♂️

The biscuit was buttery, soft, and fresh too.

Now the spaghetti… this mf SWEET 😂 Like VERY sweet. I don’t think I could ever eat a full plate of it, but for a small side? It’s actually kinda good. And yes, they got lil hot dogs in it 🌭😭

But THIS peach mango pie?? 😮‍💨🔥
I ain’t really see much peach in there but that didn’t even matter because this mf was OFF THE CHAIN.

The pineapple quencher was solid too, but nothing super special.

Overall, it’s definitely good… but for about $18, we kinda feel like we could go crazy at Popeyes for cheaper 😂

Y’all think Jollibee worth the hype? 👀
