Nicole Caliva is a traveling photographer based out of the Midwest specializing in intimate weddings

She has been experimenting with digital photography since she was given her first SLR camera at the age of 16. Since then, she's created numerous photo series upon requests varying anywhere from Portraits to Engagement sessions, to Wedding/Banquet events. In 2013, she had wedding photos featured in Wisconsin's Veil Magazine. In more current times, she designs material for two of Denver's top brida

l salons, anna bé and a&bé. Being a lover of nature and the outdoors, she carries it into her photography to create a natural and whimsical look and feel. do you ever just look back on a session from awhile ago and go, holy s**t I experienced this irl? this whole evening with devon + greg was beautiful from start to finish, and I nearly forgot how the silhouette of the Tetons just continued to stun us all the way into a twilight hour ✨

IT’S LIVE Y’ALL!!!
I am soooo beyond words happy to finally have a home for my work that embodies all that I am and wish to give to my couples. I say it a lot throughout my site, but it is so important that you align with the person you’re trusting to capture such personal moments—and I’ve poured so much ME into every nook and cranny of this that I hope you can see who I am and my passion for why I do what I do. I know I’m not for everyone, but it means so much more to me to have people who see your craft and value your work from the beginning—and this is where it all begins ✨

As this season is slowing down within the next month, I’m looking back at all of the intimate weddings I was able to be a part of, and so happy that that’s where my focus is shifting. I love seeing more people choosing to be intentional about their days—saying yes to what they want and not what they should, living a day for themselves and at the core of why they love. I’m getting so giddy thinking about all the intimate weddings and elopements for next year, each one so unique, and still can’t believe I get to call this my g dang job 🤍

Well s**t, I guess the drive back from this road trip is not as fun as the drive there 😂 we have had thee best time seeing so many things + taking the long way while we do them. I was just saying the other day how this trip has brought me so much inspiration — as creatives I think in order to be inspired, we have to force ourselves out of the hustle of making a living, and saying yes to everything so that we can save room for inspiration. Otherwise you just feel stuck and start to feel disconnected from everything you do. And there’s no heart in that.

What a whirlwind this past weekend was! I packed so much into one little weekend but it felt so good to be back in my element — there are literally so many good moments and stories that I can’t wait to share here, but for now, it’s an email-heavy get-back-on-my-grind kinda day ✨

nights like this one with Morgan + Dane 🌙 as we made our way down this rocky hill top, we probably stopped like 4 more times as the light disappeared, the moon showed off, and the horizon kept changing color. Blue hour babes 🤍

just a lil friend who popped by to say congrats on their wedding day ☺️ he probably stayed with us for a good two minutes while we finished up some portraits (It’s a good omen though right?).
