This was a design project I loved working on. My beloved Dance Church became a non-profit under the name Minnesota Dancers Cooperative. I got to create the logo program and the design assets to go along with it. Proud of the work. Grateful for the opportunity!

Man, I love it when a client says..." Here. Do your magic." Golden.

Adding a couple of completed illustrations in my ongoing robot series. Love putting the finishing touch on things.

I had the chance to do a fun little character project with a friend of mine Tim Utton. I met him online in my scale modeling days because we shared the love of the hobby, and we stayed connected. He reached out to ask me to design and illustrate a little robot mascot for his modeling YouTube channel... https://youtube.com/ . So we did some sketches and some refining and came up with Gus, a little bot with a lot of emotional range. There are homages to many of the classic robots in the entertainment world. We worked within the palette of his site...and came up with a few different moods and configurations. Enjoy.

I am exhausted. Mentally, and physically...but all in a productive way. I just finished manning the painting station at the fall open house for Emanualson Podas. I have worked with them in the past (great client) and had done a large canvas paint by number project for them for a similar open house years ago. They called in the summer and said they wanted to do it again...so I designed a fall themed piece using elements from their invitation and created a paint by number canvas. I have just finished spending the last 6 hours on my feet, greeting and welcoming people and enticing them to pick a color and paint a little. So many people (and so much vocal noise I had to consciously block) was a little overwhelming, but it was a great crowd and there were lots of takers to paint. My hands are multicolored from cleaning brushes over and over. I go into beast/host mode in those situations...and I don't think I peed or ate anything that whole shift (well I had some good Pinot Gris)...I just dealt with person after person wanting to paint. It was wildly successful, the client is very happy, folks had a blast painting...and I am so tired and peopled out I may fall asleep just...here now...trying to finish...i.ng...th....zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I love coming across an old piece of work I loved making. This was a style concept rough for a spread in one of the books I did. They went with another proposed style...but I have always liked this one...

I continue to work on expanding my "Robot" series. Graphic vector 1 color characters that reflect the diversity of the robot community. This one uses the metaphor of the juggling circus poodle for the huge number of the creative class in this country force to sign over their likeness to AI to satisfy a culture that demands to be entertained and fed grapes. The first image is the sketch and beginning Illustrator work...the others are predecessors...
