Maiden Voyage today! After a years hard work the dream became a reality. I built this boat from blueprints designed from a retired Naval architect who had served on a tug boat. The plans were designed in the ‘90s and I literally got a 50 page xerox copy to work with. It’s all plywood, fiberglass and epoxy. I went with an electric outboard. It’s not super fast but great for cruising. I just had the best time today for the first float. It was amazing. Thanks to Colleen Guenther for the moral support and patience while I was in the garage for 600 hours. I used Epifanes Epifanes Yacht Coatings polyurethane and It’s an outstanding paint. I outfitted it with a Mercury Marine Avator.
