Working together with Cove Point Lodge, we developed fresh retail apparel concepts designed to extend the lodge’s brand through custom-illustrated artwork that reflects the spirit and personality of the North Shore experience.

Several of the new concepts created through this collaboration were selected for Cove Point Lodge’s retail collection, including multiple designs illustrated by Arrin. Today, guests can purchase and wear those pieces as part of the Cove Point experience — turning thoughtful design into both a meaningful brand extension and an additional retail opportunity.

One of the best moments? Arrin recently visited Cove Point Lodge and was able to see guests shopping for apparel featuring her artwork in person — a full-circle moment that reflects the power of creative collaboration.

Skip the skin tones!

Printing skin tones accurately is one of the most difficult challenges in branded apparel and promotional printing. Even when a client provides an exact brand color, the final result can vary because colors appear differently on screens than they do in print.

Monitors use light-based RGB color, while printing relies on ink-based CMYK processes, fabric textures, garment colors, curing temperatures, and production methods that all influence the final appearance. Small shifts in ink mixing or material can dramatically change how skin tones look to the human eye.

That’s why experienced printers, like Big Spirit, often avoid designs requiring precise skin-tone matching. Simplified artwork, illustrated styles, or non-literal color choices usually produce more consistent, professional, and repeatable results across every product.
