Celebrating 20 years in business this month - April 2001 we opened our virtual doors! It's been 20 years of exploring with consumers. It's been 20 years of finding creative approaches that help clients learn their objectives. It's been 20 years of fun. Thank you for the great fun working and learning from your consumers. Here's to 20 more great years (It seems like just yesterday that I fearlessly began this great adventure!)..

YPulse just came out (November 2020) with a new outline of what Millennial parents say their under 13 year old children use the following:
- YouTube - 41%
- Facebook - 35%
- TikTok - 29%
- Instagram - 25%
- Snapchat - 23%
- None of the above 21%
- Facebook Messenger - 20%
- Fortnite - 17%
- WhatsApp - 16%
- Twitter - 11%
- Pinterest - 9%

These social media platforms include video, memes, visuals and gaming. All of which represent expectations this younger generation of Gen Z/Gen Ought will have for marketing. Keep an eye on these younger consumers (the under 13 set) as they grow into teens and young adults. KIDS GRADES K-8 DRAWING CONTEST WITH PRIZES TO MARK THIS MOMENT IN TIME: I am a freelance focus group moderator who specializes in working with kids and teens. What is happening today for justice in the murder of George Floyd is incredible progress, but there's still more to do. However, history is happening. Kids know about it. Kids are digesting it. This will impact our children who are watching all of this unfold like what happened during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. It is a moment in time to draw about and express our feelings. I would like to ask any 6-14-year-old (outgoing grades K-8) interested in submitting a drawing about 'What this moment in time means to the future?' that I could share with my clients as examples of how kids think about history and apply it to their lives. Please send it to [email protected] to enter into the contest that in addition to a donation to the ACLU will award one $25 Amazon gift card to a child who wins in each age category: grades K-2; grades 3-4; grades 5-6; grades 7-8. I love colorful art that explains what it is with captions or descriptions. Any art medium works as long as you can scan or photograph or present it in a digital attachment to the email with the child's first name only, gender, grade level, and city with a parent's email address to receive the gift card. Please no other identification. Please no child emails. The child will not be represented by their name or anything beyond gender and age/grade. Please submit by Thursday, June 11th to win. All locations. All children from all countries are welcome to submit an entry. Gift cards will be awarded by Monday, June 15th via parent email. Announcement of winners to be posted on my company, LitBrains -Igniting Ideas! page. , , ,

As a kid and family market researcher, I am hearing this from almost every parent I talk to over these few weeks of isolation. Screens and educational tech are fast becoming our lifeline and connection to others. This may be the ever-after from this temporary-today. Only time will tell.

We’ve tried all sorts of things to stop us from staring at our devices. Digital detoxes. Abstinence. Now? Bring on the Zoom cocktail hour.

What do you think about this? -- Good to uncover ideas and innovation in healthcare or potentially concerning trends in privacy. Hmmm?

Google has been pushing into health care, striking deals that grant it access to millions of patient records. The challenge: convincing the public that it can be trusted with our most personal information.

A little 'Retro Fun' (Trapper Keeper game that holds 1980's school memories to collect and become the coolest kid in school and Rubik's Cube is now Rubik's Cage) mixed with some interactive toys (see the Owl-eez toy that kids can teach to fly with tons of sounds programmed in) and the usual suspects like Star Wars and Frozen II make up the Holiday Hot Toys for 2019. Happy Holidays 2019!!

Large retailers like Walmart, Target and Amazon are expanding inventories and unveiling more exclusives this shopping season.

Interesting perspective on how Millennial parents are changing workplaces once again but this time through the eyes of a working mom marketer.

Marketing often falls short of reality still.
