There is a pressing need to re-evaluate and re-imagine resilience in the workplace. What if we found ways to bring joy into work, rather than separate it?

In January and February 2023 we conducted a study to examine the acts of resilience that erode our wellbeing and explore the habits and rituals that could contribute to a more sustainable, joyful resilience at work. Read more and download the full report.

“The Joyful Resilience Project” is out now! 🎶

We partnered with the Web3 music production platform Endlesss and record producer Lazerbeak to discover how technology can manifest joy and community in a creative moment.

Together with the Endlesss community we created four jams, each based on a different theme of joyful resilience discussed in Issue 04 of Athena. Jams are user-generated evolving soundscapes hosted on the Endlesss platform – open to contributions by music makers from all over the world. We invited anyone to participate and creatively contribute based on each jam’s particular theme. After a week Endlesss members curated their favorite moments from each jam and passed them off to Lazerbeak to play with and remix.

The result is a 4-track EP, “The Joyful Resilience Project” created via decentralized music production – exemplifying the kind of community co-creation that's made possible by .

For issue 04 of Athena Jones, we’ve been exploring the experience of a new, joyful resilience. Sound is part of that experience and a particularly interesting piece of our physical environment and emotional landscape. It can flow, pierce, soothe, and warn but never endure for more than a few seconds. It is fleeting.

Yet, there are a number of ways sound can build joyful resilience within us. Learn more about the power of sound and hear how a few Joneses translated their own experience.
