DreamAwake Studios created a new logo for Highly Clever Software. The logo not only need to capture the spirit of the company’s name, but it also had to look good on the web, in print and have the potential for animation as it will be included as the landing screen for created applications. Highly Clever Software is a Minnesota company created to build mobile applications for public and corporate use.

In the world of sharing dilemma: most of the work done at DreamAwake Studios cannot be shared with the public. The projects might be subcontracted to me, internal pieces, B2B or simply confidential. DreamAwake Studios launched the visual identity for Vinson TreeCare by crafting the company’s logo. The logo was designed to be simple, modern, and memorable and was found on the company’s business cards, shirts, and vehicles. Vinson TreeCare is now closed, but it was the premier tree service in eastern Kansas.

DreamAwake Studios worked with Dr. Stan Spencer on his first book, The Diet Dropout’s Guide to Natural Weight Loss. Wanting a to deliver a look and feel to line up with the content of the book, DreamAwake Studios created a cover that presents an image that is fresh and solid while still maintaining a lightness – such as the advice given in the book. DAS also performed all graphical work inside the book including chapter headings, pull-quotes, and clippable best-practice cards. The book is a quick and excellent read, gaining a 4 star rating on Amazon.com and was featured on a Good Morning America segment.

DreamAwake Studios has created innumerable posters and promotion pieces for events. This poster was created for the featured performance of the entire Beatles’ Revolver album (it was a great show too)!

DreamAwake Studios has crafted an updated logo for Quality Care Services. Quality Care Services has been in business and was in need of a refresh for their brand, and worked with DreamAwake studios to design a new logo that is fresh and appealing and remains true to the 35 year old brand. Quality Care Services is a CACFP Sponsor for home daycare providers across eastern Kansas.

A look back in the field/process of graphic design. When I started this is was the process with the exception of the fonts. We were the typesetters with our Mac Classic II (loaded with 2MB of RAM). The Exacto knife is still in my arsenal.
