Now that users have the option to sort by Favorites, Following, or Home, it's more important than ever to create quality content for your target audience. Here are a few things to consider for your business account:
1) Because users have the option to sort chronologically, content from accounts that they may have forgotten about or are no longer relevant to them might show up at the top of their feed. If you're losing followers, this is a possible explanation.
2) The Home feed is changing. Think of the Home feed as being recommendation-based, similar to TikTok's FYP. This creates the opportunity to reach new audiences and be more discoverable to people in your niche.
3) Engaging content may have lower reach. Because users now have control over the order in which they see their content, performance doesn't matter and engaging content won't be able to reach new accounts as easily.
