Thank you to everyone who came to Customer Appreciation Day on Tuesday. It was great to reconnect with friends, colleagues, and especially new customers who were joining us for the first time.

Our Founder & Steward Frank Brown took guests on a tour of the Minuteman Press Uptown print facility, including large format, binding, folding, cutting – even the garage where our vehicle wraps are installed.

Guests also enjoyed bagels, sandwiches, and desserts galore. A special thank you goes to Ashley Bolden from Lynnmonade who provided her handcrafted botanical beverages for our guests.

Lastly, congratulations to Judy Elias from CaterRent who won the $500 off prize, Vinessa Pearson who won tickets to the Minnesota Orchestra, and AnnDee Bashyal who won tickets to a St. Paul Saints Baseball game. There were also many other winners who won free business cards, gifts cards, and tote bags.

We are so grateful to everyone who took time from their busy schedule to come see us. As a small-but-growing business, we truly appreciate our customers’ impact, ideas, and projects all year long.🙏

Partnering with the City of Minneapolis, the West Broadway Business & Area Coalition kicked off Black Business Week this weekend with its annual Black Street Mall at The Capri Plaza, outside the Capri Theater. The event featured a variety of street vendors, delicious food, and live art. It also featured an array of musical performances, from an on-site 89.9 KMOJ "THE PEOPLES STATION" deejay, drumline, line dancing, and open mic competition.🎤🎶

Black Business Week Minneapolis is a free, community-centered event dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Black-owned businesses across the city. Minuteman Press Uptown was excited to support this event for its colorful prints, festive artwork, and vibrant community.

Minuteman Press Uptown is proud to announce that our Founder and Steward, Frank Brown, has been selected by the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce for induction into the Inaugural 2026 Minnesota Black Business Hall of Fame.

Frank’s career has spanned over 30 years. After seeing how large companies often treated their employees, Frank started Minuteman Press Uptown as a way to create good jobs with living wages and benefits, and to promote his dedication to racial, social, and economic justice. Minuteman Press Uptown is the largest Black Owned Printer in the Upper Midwest, and the only BIPOC Union Printer in Minnesota.

Frank is a sustaining member of TakeAction Minnesota and other justice organizations. He serves on the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce and The Mainstreet Alliance. He also sponsors many community-based organizations and works to promote other BIPOC-owned businesses.

The Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce will host their “Where Culture Meets Commerce: Renaissance Reimagined Gala” on Saturday, August 8 from 6-11pm at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront. The event will celebrate Twin Cities’ Black business excellence and introduce the Hall of Fame inductees.

💚 🧡 Empowering the Next Generation of Rondo Entrepreneurs ✨

We wanted to add our congratulations to the grand opening of the Rondo Exchange on Selby Avenue! This new retail and business incubator, led by the Rondo Community Land Trust, is a vital step toward fostering community wealth and stability in the historic Rondo neighborhood.

At Minuteman Press Uptown, our mission is to partner with organizations that are strengthening our communities. We had the privilege of working on the exterior signage project for this historic space, helping four new businesses - Kp Inspires, BriiNoir, Mind the Crown, and BLovely Production / Lamae Photography- make their mark on the neighborhood.

Seeing over 150 people show up to support these entrepreneurs and generate $5,000 in sales on day one is a testament to the power of community!

Congratulations to Mikeya Griffin and the entire Rondo Community Land Trust team on this successful launch. We look forward to seeing the impact of this incubator on St. Paul’s creative economy!
