This is what success looks like when you empower local markets to drive local impact. We're proud to share our case study on our work with March of Dimes.

The Challenge: With 34 local markets across the country, March of Dimes needed a centralized framework to manage local social media—one that removed content bottlenecks, protected the brand, and eliminated resource-draining manual processes.

Hiper was the right partner to help March of Dimes transform its local social media presence. We delivered a centralized local social media program with governance across every account, relevant preset templates with custom post options, and an internal ticketing system that quickly addressed market needs—giving each market the tools to connect with their communities.

Program adoption results:
• 138% increase in local market social media publishing through preset templates and custom post requests

• 11.4% local Facebook engagement rate (2025), far surpassing industry benchmarks of 2-3%

• 100% of local content moderated before publishing to ensure brand governance

If you're working through how a local social media program could better support your brand and how to strengthen your community impact, we'd love to talk.

We are sharing the single biggest driver we see for improving local social performance, curious if you agree.

Across our clients, the biggest driver of stronger local results is giving franchisees or location operators a clear framework to share their own stories, photos and community connections across their local socials.

This is the kind of content corporate simply can’t replicate.

And when it’s done well, it doesn’t just perform locally. It becomes content that can be amplified through national organic and paid channels for broader reach and engagement.

We see this hold true across QSR, retail, home services and nonprofits.

Brands are hungry for lived experience and UGC. What’s often overlooked is that many organizations already have an untapped source within their network, local operators who *want* to show how they’re showing up in their communities.

What we don’t talk about enough is that the impact goes beyond performance.
Yes, this content works. But it also changes the relationship between headquarters and the field.

Operators feel supported:
• They have a clear, approved way to share local moments.
• They feel seen when their content is amplified.
• That’s good for sentiment, engagement and ultimately business results.

And the question that always comes up: “But what about brand guidelines and approvals?”
The reality is:
• Guardrails and moderation can be built into the process
• Centralization actually reduces risk versus fragmented accounts with no visibility
• Operators gain access to tools and structure they wouldn’t have on their own

A centralized framework is far easier to manage than trying to rein things in after the fact.

So as you look at how you’re supporting your local operators this year, it’s worth asking: What would change if you intentionally created a content flywheel that rewarded local stories, local moments and real community connection?—-

The first full week of the year often brings clarity. As conversations pick back up and teams dive into 2026 planning, we're hearing very consistent themes from multi-location marketing leaders across retail, QSR, healthcare, and nonprofits.

These patterns aren’t about chasing new platforms. They’re about the shifting needs of the field:

– Pressure from the field for more local marketing support
– Pressure to make social feel more local and more human
– Pressure to prove impact across dozens or hundreds of locations with limited time and resources

This carousel highlights a few of the patterns we’re seeing most often as organizations reassess what’s working and where gaps are starting to show.

If you’re feeling some of this too, you’re not alone. And if you’re already tackling parts of it, we'd love to hear what’s at the top of your list heading into the year.

Here’s to building smarter, more connected local marketing systems in 2026.
