The observance of September as National Sewing Month began with a proclamation from President Ronald Reagan. In 1982, he declared this special month-long celebration “In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.” Subsequent Proclamations declared that “Tens of millions of Americans sew at home. Their efforts demonstrate the industry, the skill and the self-reliance which are so characteristic of this Nation."

Who doesn't like a little late evening shirt pressing?! 👕

Each shirt is pressed for 20 seconds to heat up the interfacing enough to adhere, making the quilt sqaures way more stable!
