Most businesses don’t actually see what their customers experience in real time.

From where I was sitting, I couldn’t even see the sign.
The men’s bathroom was labeled, but the women’s was down the hall, out of view, and required a key.

So if you didn’t already know that, you’d have to stop, look around, AND ask someone.

This is what I look for when I enter a space:
Things that are technically “there”… but not visible, not placed well, or not actually helping the customer.

Small moments like this can make an experience feel confusing or harder than it needs to be, especially for new visitors.

Q: Why might a business need our services?

A: Many businesses only see their operations from an internal perspective. A Visitor Experience Audit provides the perspective of real visitors and uses research and industry-driven tools to analyze how the experience actually feels to guests.

This helps provide relevant and useful information that can give businesses a heads-up on types of feedback that are normally not collected, such as the child experience, the experience from a foreign visitor’s perspective, and accessibility challenges that some guests may face.

For example, more than 1 in 4 adults in the United States have some type of disability, and many of these accessibility challenges are small or invisible but still affect how easily people can move through and use a space. In addition, nearly 14% of the U.S. population was born in another country, meaning many visitors experience environments through a different language, cultural, or navigation lens. Families also represent a major segment of travel, and the experience of children often plays a significant role in whether families return to or recommend a destination.

Because the evaluation captures the subjective experience of visitors, it can help shape how services are delivered and improved before these issues turn into negative reviews.
