A story about Minnesota Good Works' brand new outlet store in C**n Rapids, Minnesota, aired on WCCO TV's morning newscast on August 26.

MGW Outlet is a 4,400 square foot store packed with brand new merchandise that is sold at a discount. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit's efforts to help people facing personal and financial hardship, including veterans, the homeless and survivors of exploitation and trafficking.

High school football is still in the pre-season, and on August 22, The Eden Prairie Eagles suited up for an annual game that puts smiles on a lot of faces. The young athletes competed in their 17th annual touch football game against the management and staff of The Waters of Eden Prairie Senior Living.

Three media outlets covered the game. KSTP-TV, The Eden Prairie Sun Current and Eden Prairie news were there for the game, which The Waters of Eden Prairie won by a score of 4 to 3.

After the game, both teams sent representatives to compete in the hot dog eating and push up contests. Owen Anderson of the Eden Prairie Eagles won the push up contest. He went up and down 55 times in a minute.

Isak Sevig, who works as a Resident Assistant at The Waters of Eden Prairie won the hot dog eating contest. He consumed seven hot dogs in one minute.

The All Star Break served as a great time to get attention for David A. Kelly's Ballpark Mysteries series of children's books. His hometown newspaper, the Utica Observer Dispatch (https://archive.ph/8IyXc -323.0-323.23), published the article "New Hartford native pens baseball mysteries for kids," on July 19.

The article made the front page of the print edition.

Sarah Deschamps, author, I Couldn't Tell You, was interviewed on WCNC TV Charlotte's Live Impact News the morning of July 16 in advance of her speaking engagement at the Pull-thru Network's Annual Conference.

Deschamps is speaking about Caregiver PTSD and Medical PTSD, conditions that have impacted her family due to the medical condition her daughter has had since birth.

KTTC TV in Rochester, Minnesota, covered a mayoral candidate forum at The Waters of Mayowood the afternoon of July 15. Residents shared their opinions on the importance of learning about the issues and voting.

The majority of Rochester's Mayoral Candidates accepted the community's invitation to meet with residents. Additional candidate visits will take place later this month.
