Nobody who says “I have nothing to post” has an empty camera roll. Not in this day and age.
Open yours. Somewhere between the 600 screenshots and the blurry sunset you swore you’d do something with, there’s a week of content, I promise.

This edition is the tear-out: 7 photos to find when you don’t know what to post. Swipe through, then go dig.

Save it for Sunday night, when you’re staring at the grid like it owes you money.

I’m the CEO, CFO, and the person who forgot to unmute on the call. Porch Light Social is one person, for a reason.

When you work with me, you don’t get handed off to an intern or a “strategy team.” You get me, across the table, building your plan until you’re ready to manage it on your own.
Swipe for the full leadership roster. Benefits package needs some work, and my assistant can’t do a lot without thumbs, but everyone needs a personality hire.

Cheers to the smallest board meeting in Montana ☕

I scroll a lot. Because I’m a human living in 2026, and because it’s my job. A few things keep coming up.

Not algorithm things, but human, cultural things. Because as much as we think we are a slave to the algorithm, the algorithm is actually following our patterns and acting accordingly.

People want things worth sending, not just liking.
Over-designed content is starting to feel like an ad.
Hyper-specific beats universally relatable. (aka niche down).
Personality is the differentiator now that everyone has the same tools.
The brands I remember feel more like people than brands.

Swipe through for the full notes.
Which one are you seeing most in your own feed? What kind of content do you resonate with the most?

I stand by the chili crisp. The caption, less so.

97 likes (about 20% of my audience at the time, which is pretty good), zero conversions.

Adding personal posts to your profile is important, but they still need to serve a purpose and involve your audience.

If your captions are a lightning round of things you like, this one’s for you. Keep telling us what you like, but give it a function. Swipe for the autopsy.

So much advice out there will have you posting until your eyes bleed, chasing trends, and creating brand new “30-day content calendars” every single month. That’s not sustainable or joyful.

I will show you how to be as efficient as possible with your content, we’ll find the trends that actually work for your business, I’ll tell you that you can have a life, and that this can and should be fun.

Send this to the friend who’s exhausted by post-daily-or-die advice. They need a second opinion.

I help small business owners and solo social media managers stop winging it. We build the plan, find your voice, and I’m around while you make the content. You keep your account. You just stop staring at a blinking cursor in the caption section.

I’m not going to pretend social media is easy. I’m going to tell you it’s do-able.

Brand Strategy & Support is a six-month intensive for small business owners who are done guessing. We spend the first part building the foundation: your actual brand voice, your actual audience, and content pillars you can come back to without reinventing the wheel every Sunday night. Then I stick around for the support phase, so you’re not left holding some notes and a prayer.

I’m not taking over your account. You keep your voice. You just get a plan, a system that survives a busy week, and someone in your corner while you build it.

And if you’re a Social Media Manager flying solo? I offer a 1:1 mentorship for the person who’s expected to know everything and was never handed a manual.

If you’re ready for a clearer way forward, book a call. I can’t wait to help you become friends with social media. (link in bio).

Things I wish someone had told me my first year as a social media manager:

You don’t have to say yes to every client.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You don’t have to answer that 8pm text.
Underpricing will turn you against the work you love.
Your own brand can’t wait until “later.”

I didn’t have anyone to bounce things off of. I could have hired an expensive coach or bought a course, but what I really needed was someone who’d done it to say “yes, that’s normal.”

So I’m being that person. If you’re new to social media management and want someone to check your captions, build your strategy, vent about a client, or answer “is this normal?”, comment MENTOR and let’s talk. You don’t have to go through it alone. 🕯️

You don’t have a content plan. You have a Sunday night panic. 😅

You spent all week (and maybe part of the weekend) making your clients’ feeds flawless. Meanwhile, yours has one reel from two weeks ago, a couple of carousels you threw up out of exhaustion, and a weekend dump.

Potential clients land on your feed expecting to see your work. If it’s empty, they keep scrolling.

What if you sat down for one hour, once or twice a month, named your content pillars, and built a calendar that’s ready before Sunday night rolls around?

Comment COACH and I’ll send you all the info on my social media mentorship. Your feed deserves your attention too, and your business depends on it. ✨
