A look behind the scenes of our logo redesign for Paragon Private Wealth Management!

When updating an established brand, our goal is to honor the brand values while elevating the ex*****on. Here is how we updated Paragon's logo to tell a stronger visual story:

❖ Evolved Symbolism: Added grass elements beneath the bison, emphasizing the powerful metaphor of "heading into the storm" - a symbol of resilience.
❖ Refined Layout: Adjusted the scale of the bison and updated the typography for increased legibility and a balanced, modern look.
❖ Cleaner Presentation: Removed the trademark symbol, allowing the design to breathe and speak for itself.

What does a complete brand transformation look like?

When Pleasant Valley Farms - a 60-year-old, family-owned heritage egg supplier - decided to launch their private label, Nature's Gift, they needed a cohesive identity to tie it all together.

For this project, we delivered a comprehensive visual language system - from custom typography, textures, and unified color palettes to a dual-logo redesign that perfectly navigates the relationship between the parent company and the egg line. These assets were then used to roll out real-world packaging and merchandise.

Building a brand identity is about creating a blueprint for how a company looks, feels, and speaks across every single touchpoint.

This visual toolkit lays the groundwork for their next major chapter - and we're thrilled to be a part of it.

It was an intense, competitive, and highly engaging social campaign that we were proud to manage for Golden State Fire Apparatus, Inc. with one unforgettable payoff—the Alameda Fire Department Chief promised to kiss a pig if they won—AND THEY WON!

How do you help a client tell their story? By combining strategy, artistry, and collaboration.

Looking back at our work with Burchell Nursery in the 1990s, the challenge was clear: they had incredible fruit and nut trees rooted in decades of expertise, but their print materials didn’t match their level of innovation.

MHD Group stepped in to bridge that gap. Marcia Herrmann worked closely with Burchell’s sales leader, Ron Boone (who captured stunning field photography), to create catalogs that were more than just lists - they were strategic narrative tools that created a tactile experience:

• Blind emboss and foil stamping
• Rich, authentic photography
• Strong messaging rooted in grower success, quality rootstock, and innovation

At a time when most competitors relied on simple listings, Burchell’s materials reflected the sophistication of a company that had been advancing plant breeding and tree quality for decades.

It was branding with purpose - and it showed.
