UPDATE: both roofing AND lawn care are COVERED! We still need help!

There is a family in need in our community. They are struggling with health conditions that leave them bedridden in an unsafe home. The generous people in our local Coastal Wealth Builders BNI chapter have stepped up to the plate and donated their time and resources to help. DADs roofing is generously providing a new roof for this family, and fully covering the cost of materials and labor.

Our ask is this: I will link a gofundme account below in the comments. If you’re able to contribute- no donation is small and everything helps. We’d love to be able to help support the reimbursement of costs for the roof repairs.

We also are in need of volunteers who are able to help with other miscellaneous needs and repairs around the home. Lawn care has been volunteered for, but we still have several other areas of need.

We also wanted to get the community’s support for the workers and volunteers who are supporting this family.

I know everything on Instagram is supposed to be fancy but we just had a small moment at home where we took it all in today. On February 13th of this year, I decided to start making faith based content online because I had just left the sidelines of a situation where I had to witness spiritual manipulation for years, and I wanted to get off my behind. I was nervous because I have so many friends I love and adore who don’t believe the way I do and I didn’t want to offend anyone I loved BUT I knew there was abuse happening and that I had personal experience behind the curtain of how it happens. I had to speak up, but the fear was still there. At the point I decided to post anyway…I realized the only reason I even had that fear is because of what spiritual abuse has convinced people following Jesus IS. The people in my life who know me have always known that I loved Jesus and have always reached for him- even when I wasn’t living for him. They also know that I do not now nor have I EVER stood for hatred. I created a podcast called Faith that Offends because I realized after recording a few episodes…everything I have to say truly is so offensive, but only to the ones manipulating God’s word. I honestly just hoped that a few people would see the clips I shared or listen to what I said, wake up to how they were being manipulated and seek a REAL relationship with Christ. I wanted someone to hear guidance backed by scripture and maybe pick their Bible back up and give God another chance after the hurt. ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND followers later and I feel slightly overwhelmed. It was never about a follower count, it was about the daily messages I get saying “I would have never seen that if you didn’t share it and it changed the way I think”, or “I followed that pastor you shared and I’ve been watching him. I haven’t been able to listen to a preacher or pastor in years because of how I was hurt”, or the “what you said really resonated with me. That’s exactly how I feel and I honestly thought that’s what Christianity was. I’m so glad you said this so I can try again.” I don’t really know what else to say other than thank you so much for giving me your time, and I’m so grateful for what the Lord is doing.
