I learned from the best from the start. I started Sergeant Marketing a few short years later and have worked with hundreds of clients and partners over the years to amass a solid expertise in marketing that works. After an original notion that I was going to be a teacher, marketing called me instead. With training in both, I’ve always blended both skills to ensure that my clients were as educated about the strategies we were using as they wanted to be. I recently became a certified yoga teacher and after 500 hours of training and countless hours developed an even deeper commitment to help move people toward their business goals in an organic way. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sergeant Marketing in 2021, I launched the Milestone Marketing Masterclass and Group Coaching to help small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs navigate through and emerge from the pandemic. I believe everyone deserves the same strategy development that larger companies and organizations regardless of their budget. With Milestone Marketing I created a way to offer that. My vast industry experience includes marketing hospitals, healthcare facilities, manufacturing companies, financial institutions, nonprofits, schools, associations, media companies, professional services, retail, and consumer products. Hello! I’m Nancy Sergeant, back after an eight-month break from going live and sharing content. For those who have followed me, thank you for your support, and for new followers, welcome!

As I prepare for my business’s 30th anniversary in 2025, I’m going to step back into the spotlight and continue sharing marketing insights, experiences, and the valuable lessons I’ve learned alongside my clients and colleagues.

This year has been particularly challenging, navigating life without my husband and father, both of whom passed away within months of each other in the second half of 2024. Their absence is a challenge, yet I’m beyond grateful for my son, family, friends, and colleagues who support and inspire me.

I’m also beginning to look forward to what lies ahead, armed with faith and curiosity. With several big proposals due soon, I’m energized by the work ahead and the beauty of what will unfold personally and professionally if I allow it.

In the new year, you can expect more marketing and small business tips, along with more vulnerability of sharing the ups and downs that are sure to come. I'd like to make this space a community where we can share our journeys. Please share your stories, too so we can all thrive.

Imagine your content as an exhibit for visitors to take a deep dive, be entertained, and educated in a topic of interest or need. Multimedia journalist Eric Conklin's latest article, "Exhibit brings into focus seaside havens in a segregated landscape," was featured on the front page of the New Jersey Section in The Star-Ledger today.
