Heavy rain is causing flash flooding across parts of Jefferson County, including Birmingham and surrounding communities.

If you encounter a flooded roadway, TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN. Just a few inches of moving water can sweep away a vehicle.

Avoid unnecessary travel, watch for rapidly rising water, and stay weather aware through 3:00 PM.
