Morgan County Schools is offering FREE summer meals for all children ages 1-18, regardless of what school they attend.

🍎 School may be out, but meal assistance is still available!

Rowan County Schools is helping families this summer by providing a week's worth of breakfasts and lunches for children ages 1-18.

Programs like this are incredibly important, but they only continue when families participate. If your family can benefit, don't hesitate to use this resource. If not, consider sharing this post with someone who might.

If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer, be sure to check out Wild Roots Market at The Landing Strip Campground on July 10-12, 2026.

Hosted by my friends at Little Lantern Events, this event brings together local makers, artists, food vendors, musicians, and small businesses for a weekend full of shopping, entertainment, and community.

With over 60 vendors, live music, food trucks, local art, handmade goods, farm-fresh products, pottery, baked treats, permanent jewelry, and so much more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for unique finds, supporting local businesses, or simply spending time with family and friends, Wild Roots Market is worth the trip.

I don’t handle the marketing for this event, but I always enjoy supporting fellow entrepreneurs and community events that showcase the amazing talent we have right here in Eastern Kentucky.
