The IFPN is very excited to announce that Shana Baer has joined our team as our Director of Development! Shana began her career working as a CPA for various Fortune 500 companies throughout New York City. She left the workforce to raise her two sons, dedicating her free time to fundraise for the local school district and throughout the South Orange/Maplewood communities. She then transitioned to a formal career in Development, gaining valuable experience at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC). She worked there for six years, most recently as Director of Development. Shana is thrilled to join the dedicated and talented staff at IFPN to fight hunger throughout Morris County. Please join us in welcoming her to the family!

Let’s hear it for this month’s featured Frontline HSI staffer, Ray! They joined HSI less than a year ago as a Residential Support Staff member, and quickly moved up the ranks to their most recent position as the Admission and Discharge Coordinator for the Single Men and Safe Haven Division. Ray loves serving this community by bringing people in need to our shelter programs where they can start working on long-term solutions with our case management team.
Ray’s calm nature is truly an asset to their job:
“My favorite memory was when a certain guest (who had been difficult to deal with when he first arrived at the shelter) had graduated the program and was moving into a housing opportunity. He came up to me and said he was so grateful for my patience and calmness whenever I spoke to him.”
