In 2019, we renovated our first building. Affectionately referred to ever since as “The Brainstorm Building,” 911 1st Street SE became the hub for our Brainstorm Marketing and Brainstorm Print Services office location, as well as multiple other non profits and small businesses needing a space to call home over the years.
As our first “fixer upper,” this building quickly held a special place in both of our hearts, exacerbated by the friendship we formed with the previous building owners, The Draffin Family. They graciously came to our ribbon cutting and walked through the building, sharing stories of their father and the memories their family shared inside the walls of the previous Draffin & Tucker Accounting Firm. It meant so much to us to hear how they worked together as a family inside those walls, much as we were doing as well.
In 2022, we (along with Macie) had the opportunity to purchase and renovate the large building downtown, and we started dreaming of all of our family businesses operating under the same roof once again. It was difficult for us to consider letting go of the Brainstorm Building, but we asked the Lord to work it out if it was His will. And work it out, He did.
We are thrilled that the new owner of 911 1st Street SE is none other than the Bledsoe Family with Bledsoe CPA, taking the building back to its roots as an accounting firm. We are so honored to pass the building off to another family spending each day working together!
While we will miss these walls, we are so excited for Brainstorm to transition into our brand new space downtown, and even more excited that the 4/6 South Main St building is now occupying three family businesses and a whole lot of cousins learning the ins and outs of small business together.
